However, even among the games base roster, there are truly masterful killers to choose from. One of which is the deadly and versatile Hillbilly, considered by most players to be the most powerful Killer in the game. With a range of abilities, skills, and a truly intimidating character design, Hillbilly is the epitome of what it means to be a Killer. However, even with his versatile arsenal of weapons, skills and learnable abilities, Hillbilly can be rather tricky to pick up and excel with. However, with some guidance, even a novice Hillbilly player can become an efficient and deadly Killer, one which will be feared by all Survivors in his path.
Understanding the Hillbilly's Skills in dead By daylight Events by Daylight
Hillbilly provides a very "basic" playstyle compared to the other killers found in Dead by Daylight's roster. Even though his toolkit is not very complicated or mechanically "difficult" to learn and master it is one of the most powerful and deadly among any killer.
The primary tool in Hillbilly's arsenal is his notorious chainsaw attack. Hillbilly will begin to rev up his chainsaw for a few seconds and then initiate a rapid charge sprinting through the given arena. This move allows the Hillbilly to cover immense ground during this charge and provides the Killer unprecedented speed.
What makes this Chainsaw charge so devastating, is that it grants the Hillbilly an instant kill attack out of the sprint. Essentially morphing the Hillbilly into a hyper-mobile killing machine. However, landing this one hit kill attack is not guaranteed, the strike is rather finicky and can whiff if thrown with reckless abandoned.
The primary downside to this ability is that, if the Hillbilly runs into an environmental hazard, then the character will be left in a stunned state for a few seconds. So the move does grant the Killer an incredible boost of speed, it is not as brainless of an attack as it sounds. A smart Hillbilly player will learn the intricacies of the charge and learn to navigate the rapid Killer with clinical precision.
Hillbilly's primary gimmick is this powerful charge, and it makes the rather "vanilla" character one of the strongest in the cast. Mastering this ability is what separates a solid Hillbilly from a novice one.
Making Use of the Hillbilly's Abilities in Dead by Daylight
As mentioned earlier in the guide, Hillbilly is a very basic killer in a game filled with personality and in-depth mechanics. But the character makes up for his lacking personality by having some of the most powerful tools in the game. But to truly get mileage out of his seemingly bare-bones arsenal will take some practice, but can lead to some incredibly quick and brutal rounds of Dead by Daylight.
